1. Все научные статьи, поступившие в редсовет журнала «Ученые записки Крымского федерального университета имени В. И. Вернадского. Исторические науки», подлежат обязательному рецензированию. Главный редактор проверяет статью на соответствие профилю журнала, требованиям к оформлению и направляет ее на рассмотрение в редакционный совет журнала, который определяет научную ценность рукописи.
2. Если материалы соответствуют вышеуказанным критериям, главный редактор журнала назначает рецензента – специалиста, имеющего близкую к теме статьи научную специализацию. Назначенный рецензент должен обладать глубокими профессиональными знаниями и опытом работы по конкретному научному направлению, быть признанным специалистом по тематике рецензируемых материалов и иметь в течение последних трех лет публикации по тематике рецензируемой статьи.
3. Рукопись проходит «двойное слепое» рецензирование. Статья направляется рецензенту без указания фамилии автора и сведений о нем. Рецензия направляется автору статьи без указания фамилий рецензентов и сведений о них.
4. Рецензирование осуществляется членами редакционного совета. Рецензентом не может быть автор или соавтор рецензируемой рукописи, а также сотрудник из организации, где работает, состоит в аспирантуре или докторантуре автор рукописи научной статьи.
5. Рецензент оценивает актуальность и научную новизну представленных к публикации результатов исследования, их теоретическую и практическую значимость, наличие необходимых ссылок на данные из других работ. На основании анализа статьи рецензент составляет заключение:
   a) статья рекомендуется к публикации;

b) статья нуждается в доработке в соответствии с замечаниями рецензента;
c) статья отклонена (с указанием причин).

1. Текст рецензии редакционный совет направляет автору рецензируемой статьи по электронной почте без указания фамилии рецензента.
2. Если в рецензиях содержатся рекомендации по доработке статьи, редсовет журнала направляет автору текст рецензий с предложением учесть их при подготовке нового варианта статьи или аргументировано отказаться от них. Доработанная автором статья повторно направляется на рецензирование.
3. Сообщение об отрицательной рецензии с соответствующей мотивировочной частью обязательно направляется автору по электронной почте.
4. Окончательное решение о публикации принимается редакционным советом на заседании исходя из рекомендации рецензента, научной ценности работы и соответствия ее тематике журнала. Отклоненная редакционным советом статья к повторному рассмотрению не принимается.
5. После принятия редсоветом журнала решения о публикации главный редактор информирует об этом автора и указывает сроки публикации.
6. Рецензии хранятся в редакционном совете журнала и в издательстве в течение 5 лет.
7. Редакционный совет журнала обязуется при поступлении соответствующего запроса, направлять копии рецензий в Министерство образования и науки Российской Федерации.

PEER REVIEW

1. All scientific articles submitted to the editorial office of the journal «Scientific Notes of V. I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University. Historical Sciences» are subject to mandatory peer review. The Editor-in-Chief checks the article for compliance with the journal’s profile and formatting requirements and forwards it to the Editorial Board of the journal, which determines the scientific value of the manuscript.
2. If the materials meet the above criteria, the Editor-in-Chief of the journal appoints a reviewer – a specialist with scientific specialization close to the topic of the article. The appointed reviewer must possess profound professional knowledge and experience in the specific scientific field, be a recognized expert in the subject matter of the reviewed materials, and have publications on the topic of the reviewed article within the last three years.
3. The manuscript undergoes «double-blind» peer review. The article is sent to the reviewer without indicating the author’s surname or any information about the author. The review is sent to the author of the article without indicating the surnames of the reviewers or any information about them.
4. Peer review is carried out by members of the Editorial Board. The reviewer cannot be the author or co-author of the reviewed manuscript, nor an employee of the organization where the author of the scientific article works, is enrolled in postgraduate studies, or is enrolled in doctoral studies.
5. The reviewer evaluates the relevance and scientific novelty of the research results presented for publication, their theoretical and practical significance, and the presence of necessary references to data from other works. Based on the analysis of the article, the reviewer draws up a conclusion: a) the article is recommended for publication; b) the article requires revision in accordance with the reviewer’s comments; c) the article is rejected (with an indication of the reasons).
6. The text of the review is sent by the Editorial Board to the author of the reviewed article via e-mail without indicating the reviewer’s surname.
7. If the reviews contain recommendations for revising the article, the Editorial Board of the journal sends the author the text of the reviews with a proposal to take them into account when preparing a new version of the article or to provide reasoned objections to them. The article revised by the author is sent for re-review.
8. A notification of a negative review with the corresponding reasoned part is necessarily sent to the author via e-mail.
9. The final decision on publication is made by the Editorial Board based on the reviewer’s recommendation, the scientific value of the work, and its compliance with the journal’s subject matter. An article rejected by the Editorial Board is not accepted for re-consideration.
10. After the Editorial Board of the journal makes a decision on publication, the Editor-in-Chief informs the author about it and indicates the publication deadlines.
11. Reviews are stored in the Editorial Board of the journal and in the publishing house for 5 years.
12. The Editorial Board of the journal undertakes, upon receipt of the relevant request, to send copies of reviews to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
